Is the Healing Balm suitable for sensitive skin?

All of our Kara Kawa products are handmade in small batches by Kara in Tasman, New Zealand.

All of our skincare is crafted with natural, plant-based ingredients, including Kawakawa and other botanicals chosen for their healing and soothing properties. We avoid harsh chemicals, synthetic fragrances, and palm oil.

The shelf life of Kara Kawa products varies from product to product.
The minimum shelf life is 8 months.
All products have the Best Before date stamped on them.
Remember to store our products out of direct sunlight and in a cool, dark place.

Yes, all of our packaging and tubs are recyclable.
Please remember to remove the lids and clean your tubs before putting them in the recycle bin.

How much does shipping cost?

We offer Free Tracked Courier Shipping on all orders over $80.
Tracked Courier Shipping $8.00
Rural Tracked Courier Shipping $12.00
Australia Tracked Shipping $30.00
All prices are in NZD.

2-5 working days for New Zealand.
3-10 working days for Australia.
Please note that these delivery times are a guide only.
Delivery to rural and remote areas may take longer.

For same-day shipping we need to receive your order:

  • Before 10 am Monday – Friday.

Orders received after these times will be shipped the following business day.
Orders received between 10 am Friday and 10 am Monday will be shipped on the Monday.
We don’t ship weekends or public holidays.

Yes! If you’re in the Nelson/Tasman area, you can choose Free Pickup from Brightwater at checkout.
You’ll receive an email with pickup details once your order is ready.
If you’d like to collect your order straight away, please call Kara on 027 373 6644.

Once your order has been booked with the courier, we will send you an email with your tracking details.
Sometimes these emails end up in your spam folder. Please check here first.

Yes — if your order hasn’t been packed or shipped yet, send us an email, and we’ll give you a code so you won’t be charged shipping again on your additional order.

I bought the wrong product, can I return it?

If you have purchased the wrong product and would like to exchange it.
Please contact us, and we can help you.
To be eligible for a return/refund, the item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.

Yes, I offer a discounted wholesale price for order quantities of 10 units and over.
